Thought Field Therapy
Learn more about Thought Field Therapy (TFT) at www.tftrx.com and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) at www.emofree.com I welcome you to learn these on your own since they are fairly simple for the benefits gained. You might have to buy a book or CD/DVD and put some time into studying the techniques, but they are otherwise of no cost to you. I have no interest in the sale or promotion of the information on these sites, I bring it to your attention for the betterment of yourself, friends and your family.
If you would still rather have me do it or connect it with Heart Rate Variability (see articles below), please set up an appointment.
The importance of HRV with TFT
Be sure to also examine Heart Rate Variability (HRV) for it has become a key for the TFT story. That's because HRV measurements have shown that Thought Field Therapy can directly influence the heart and balance the autonomic nervous system - thereby producing profound physical and psycological changes.
HRV is a way of monitoring the effects of TFT - to evaluate what is going on inside the body both before and after TFT treatment. TFT works with or without the presence of HRV equipment, but the HRV gives us concrete, irrefutable evidence that TFT is producing measurable physiological changes even as it produces psychological healing.
If you have any doubts that TFT can really activate the body's own healing system through its simple tapping algorithms, you need only look at the measurements taken by HRV equipment before and after TFT treatments. In fact, experts in HRV say that TFT causes changes in the body more effectively than most other approaches - better than bio-feedback and even many medications - and no treatment approach is better at rebalancing the autonomic nervous system than TFT. This viewpoint is supported by clinical research. The longer version explanation is below.
Thought Field Therapy
and Heart Rate Variability
The missing link to vibrant health and happiness!
Imagine for a moment that there is a highly effective method of health care requiring no surgery, drugs, or equipment used by more than 5,000 medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, nurses, and other members of the healing professions in dozens of countries. And imagine that this health modality appears to be magic when applied, but is completely verifiable by modern technology!
That is no myth, it goes under such names as Thought Field Therapy (TFT) or Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
Practitioners worldwide have marveled at its simplicity, effectiveness, and rapid means of healing. They have been shown to be effective in thousands of cases for physical symptoms; but also the harder to treat psychological issues such as trauma, phobias, stress, addictive urges, depression, and more.
Even in the hands of the beginner, it often achieves either noticeable improvement or complete cessation of the client's complaint. The process can be rapid, long lasting, gentle and sometimes works when nothing else will.
The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Present western medical science virtually ignores and doesn't truly understand subtle energy sometimes referred to in terms like life force, chi, meridians, chakras, bio-fields, or auras. These energies may be called "subtle" because they are not easily detectable, as western allopathic medicine has not developed methods to reliably measure them. Many cultures around the world over the centuries have developed methods to influence these subtle energy systems such as with acupuncture, yoga, acupressure, meditation, Reiki, tai chi, just to name a few.
Unlike traditional treatments that offer pills or surgery, energy medicine practitioners routinely help people get their overall energies into a strong and healthy flow, and that can have profound benefits to their client's mental and even physical state of health.
TFT and EFT can influence these subtle energies by methods usually involving the patient concentrating on his/her ailment they wish to treat while tapping on various parts of the body in certain patterns, pressure, and speeds. These techniques are self applied by the patient while being coached by a practitioner knowledgeable of them, or is fairly easily learned for self use. Impressive results with TFT or EFT can be obtained because the techniques address causes instead of just symptoms.
These techniques take into account the entire mind and body as a single coherent unit, not just specific chemical/mental/physical problems. Even traditional western medicine admits now that our emotional and mental states greatly influence our well being, but they are at a loss about what to do about it other than drugs or traditional psychotherapy which has shown to not be all that effective for such conditions even after sometimes years of treatments. TFT and EFT can work as quickly as five minutes; emotional results are typically very long lasting if not permanent, and physical results vary in lasting ability.
Energy meridians that run through our body can be blocked or disrupted by unresolved emotional issues, compromising our autonomic nervous system which can lead to a multitude of apparently unrelated and misdiagnosed health issues. Quite often people are aware of events and memories that trigger emotional disturbances in their lives, but may have not connected those memories to the symptoms of disease in their bodies.
But since modern science has not been able to explain what is happening with such techniques, skepticism abounds. But now there is a measuring modality called Heart Rate Variability (HRV) which can finally prove that something is indeed happening to the body when these techniques are applied.
Cardiovascular related issues are not the only reasons the HRV test is so important. HRV is a powerful indicator of an individuals overall health. The Digital Pulsewave Analyzer is an FDA approved screening device that tests for arterial flexibility, heart rate, arterial dilation, hydration levels, and assigns a biological age to your arteries. This is all done in minutes with no pain or discomfort with just a probe clamped over a fingertip. The Digital Pulsewave Analyzer has a software program that provides measurement of Heart Rate Variability (HRV), which is a five minute test that quantifies variations in the intervals between heartbeats, which in turn are a window to the all important autonomic nervous system.
The autonomic nervous system is the internal system that controls heartbeat, body temperature, blood chemistry, blood pressure, breathing, immune function, tissue repair, metabolism, and other processes that are considered "involuntary" and beyond conscious control. The HRV measurement gives us an indication of the interaction between the sympathetic and parasympathetic activity in autonomic functioning. Some physical illnesses associated with autonomic system disorders could be cardiovascular diseases, epilepsy, diabetes, asthma, hypertension, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, constipation, chronic pain, nutritional deficiencies, and others.
Psychologists also are increasingly recognizing the importance of HRV scores, because a number of studies have demonstrated that patients with anxiety, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks, depression, addictive urges, and other psychological issues consistently show lower HRV scores, even when not exposed to a trauma related prompt. Importantly, this relationship existed independent of age, gender, trait anxiety, cardio-respiratory fitness, heart rate, blood pressure and respiration rate.
The use of HRV in conjunction with TFT and EFT described earlier has shown that as psychological healing is taking place with TFT and EFT, physiological improvements are occurring as well. This has enormous implications for reducing stress levels, producing internal homeostasis, and stimulating healing in many areas from heart arrythmias, atrial fibrillation, and even chronic illnesses.
Now with the combination of TFT or EFT with HRV, real quantifiable results can be measured and verified of the balancing of the body's autonomic nervous system.
